Anal Warts are small, flesh-colored growths that appear around the anus, caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV).


Causes:


1. HPV infection (types 6 and 11)

2. Anal sex

3. Skin-to-skin contact

4. Weakened immune system


Symptoms:


1. Small, flesh-colored growths around the anus

2. Itching or discomfort

3. Bleeding or discharge

4. Painful bowel movements


Diagnosis:


1. Visual inspection

2. Anoscopy

3. Biopsy


Treatment:


1. Topical creams (e.g., imiquimod, podofilox)

2. Cryotherapy (freezing the warts)

3. Surgical removal (e.g., laser, scalpel)

4. Infrared coagulation


Prevention:


1. HPV vaccination

2. Safe sex practices

3. Regular STI testing

4. Avoiding skin-to-skin contact with infected individuals


Complications:


1. Recurrence

2. Anal cancer (rare)

3. Emotional distress

4. Social stigma
